This bourbon aging warehouse located at Buffalo Trace Distillery was built in 1881 to accommodate 24,000 barrels. Now as back then, the aging process is driven totally by Mother Nature's four seasons. To help moderate any daily extremes, the building’s 18 inch outer brick walls form a thermal mass to store and release heat. Should minor adjustments be required, any of the many windows and shutters may be opened or closed as needed.
