Until recently, all motion pictures were captured on film. After each roll had been exposed, it was literally put into a tin canister for safe keeping. By 1930, the phrase "In the Can" indicated shooting was complete and post production could begin.
The In the Can gallery contains images waiting post processing. Although not all images are displayed, it does offer sneak peeks into future collections. Please be patient. Creating a new image collection is quiet involved and includes image selection, content research, post processing and uploading to Imagination. For a collection of 30 images, this typically takes about 30 hours.
