Natchez Trace Parkway

To preserve important examples of our nation’s natural and cultural heritage, in 1938 the Trace became part of the National Park Service. Completed in 2005, its 52,000 acres form an almost continuous 800 foot wide green belt from its northern terminus near Nashville to its southern terminus near Natchez.
