Buffalo Trace distillery is located on the Kentucky River in Frankfort, Kentucky. Although several distilleries have occupied the site, records indicate operations began around 1773 making this location the oldest distilling site in the United States.
Buffalo Trace offers three unique tours. The one hour
Trace Tour covers Buffalo Trace’s history followed by visits to Warehouse C and the hand bottling hall. The
Hard Hat tour offers a behind the scene view into the grain delivery, cookers, fermentation tanks and three story column still operations. The
Post Prohibition tour focuses on the building architectures and post prohibition expansion. All tours are complementary and include refreshments and Bourbon balls.
