Churchill Downs is the thoroughbred racetrack located in Louisville, KY. Officially opening in 1875, it is best known as host of the Kentucky Derby. Although short in duration, the Derby is considered "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports" and concludes two weeks of festivities including Thunder Over Louisville, Chow Wagon, Great Steamboat Race, Pegasus Parade and much more.
